Takhar Residents Complain the Low Quality of WFP Aid

Kabul – Poor families in Takhar complain about the poor quality of food aid provided by the World Food Program (WFP) in the province.

A number of these families told Hasht-e Subh that the food distributed by the agency could not be used.

The aid reportedly included primary foods, including flour.

The flour distributed by this agency cannot be cooked, therefore, they have been forced to give it to livestock, the families stressed.

Poor and deserving families are urging Taliban officials in the province to pay close attention to the distribution of aid so that quality and usable materials can be distributed.

Attempts were made to seek the views of WFP officials, however, repeated calls failed to do so.
