Iran: Taliban Incapable to Establish Peace, Iran to Step Forward to Fight ISKP
Kabul – In a news conference, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the Taliban regime is incapable of providing security to Afghanistan citizens, specifically to the Shiite minority sect, adding Iran will take the lead in fighting terrorist groups and ISKP.
Saeed Khatibzadeh made the remarks on Monday, April 25.
Khatibzadeh has further stated that the situation in Afghanistan, including all ethnic and religious groups, is important to Iran, and the Taliban regime must ensure their safety.
In addition, he stated that Iran is ready to share its experience in the fight against terrorist groups with the Taliban regime.
Mr. Khatibzadeh has made the remarks while dozens of people have been killed and injured in recent blasts in a number of provinces, including Kabul. The suicide attacks specifically targeted Hazara Shiite citizens.
