Chinese Scholarships Awarded to Taliban Affiliates

Kabul – China has allocated five government scholarships to Afghanistan in this new academic year, sources confirm.
According to a credible source, Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban’s Acting Foreign Minister has allocated these five scholarships to individuals affiliated with Taliban commanders.
The source has further added that the scholarships are given to Kandahar, Urozgan, and Helmand Taliban members who are all Pashtuns, adding these 5 Taliban members already started their studies online and are going to China in the near future.
However, access to official government scholarships must be awarded based on merit through the Ministry of Higher Education, taking into account defined criteria, observing justice, and passing the entrance exam.
