7 Million People Helped in Afghanistan Last Month: UN

Kabul – The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says at least seven million people in Afghanistan have received humanitarian aid in the past month.

In cooperation with other aid organizations, the agency has supported the people of Afghanistan by providing humanitarian assistance,” tweeted Guterres on (Wednesday, January 5th.)

Antonio Guterres has also warned of the harsh winter facing the Afghan people, expecting the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to continue providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the remarks come as the cold winter approaches, and many people are at risk of death due to poverty, hunger, and lack of access to winter fuel.
